The Lyon – Saint-Étienne Engineering Alliance attends APAIE 2026 in Hong Kong
From 23 to 27 February 2026, the Lyon – Saint-Étienne Engineering Alliance took part in the APAIE 2026 international exhibition, organised in Hong Kong by the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education.
A major event in higher education in the Asia-Pacific region, APAIE brings together institutions from around the world each year to discuss issues of academic cooperation, strategic partnerships and international mobility.
The Lyon – Saint-Étienne Engineering Alliance was part of the French delegation coordinated by Campus France.
Developing international cooperation
Throughout the fair, the Lyon-Saint-Étienne Engineering Alliance met with numerous institutional and academic partners in order to:
- raise awareness of the Lyon-Saint-Étienne site among the member schools’ strategic partner universities;
- promote jointly developed international initiatives (international Master’s degrees, short programmes, cooperation projects, mobility programmes);
- create new opportunities for collaboration in training and research.
This presence at APAIE is part of the Alliance’s international strategy, which aims to strengthen the visibility and attractiveness of the site on a global scale.
Positioning the Lyon–Saint-Étienne region internationally
APAIE represents a strategic opportunity to:
- position the Lyon–Saint-Étienne region as a recognised player in international academic cooperation;
- structure and deepen partnerships with universities and institutions around the world;
- promote the development of joint training and research projects.
The Lyon–Saint-Étienne Engineering Alliance brings together four prestigious engineering schools: Centrale Lyon, ENTPE, INSA Lyon and Mines Saint-Étienne, which are pooling their strengths to pursue an ambitious international strategy.
A commitment supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region
Participation in APAIE 2026 was made possible thanks to the support of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, which actively supports the development and international influence of higher education and research in the region.
